SISD Policies for District-Wide E-mail

 

All district-wide messages must go through the Director of Public Relations.

SISD employees may submit messages to be sent district-wide to the Director of Public Relations. Each request will be considered and either distributed, or returned with an explanation of why it could not be sent out.

The following types of information will be e-mailed to all employees from either the Superintendent's Office or the Director of Public Relations:

  • Notification of Emergencies

  • Notification of Early Dismissal of Employees

  • Notification of Power Outages, Network Equipment Outages, Telephone Outages

  • Payroll Information

  • Employee Information from Human Resources

  • Employee Benefits Information

  • Messages from the Superintendent

The following types of subject matter is considered acceptable for district-wide messages, and must be sent through the above offices:

  • Employee Deaths (or Employee's spouse, child, parent, or mother/father-in-law)
  • Employee/Student Tragedies
  • Fund-raisers
  • Performances (plays, concerts, etc.)
  • Retirements
  • Online Information and Calendars

Please submit all district-wide e-mails to dpilcher@sheldon.k12.tx.us for distribution/approval.
