Give Someone Permission to
Two Steps: • Give permission for your Calendar • Give permission for your Mailbox
Give Permission for your Calendar:
Right-click the Calendar folder in the folder list Click Properties Click Permissions tab Click Add Choose the name(s) you wish to access your calendar, and add them to the list Click OK Check the appropriate boxes for the permission you want each name to have Example: You want your Assistant to be able to add items to your calendar and change those items, but not be able to delete or change any items you have created. You would configure the following:
• Create Items •Folder owner • Read items •Folder contact • Create subfolders •Folder visible • Edit Items •Delete Items • None •None • Own •Own • All •All
Click OK Do not select the Default account! If you grant access to the Default account, you grant access to every single person on the e-mail system.
Give permission for your Mailbox:
Right-click Outlook Today – [Mailbox – Your name] folder (at the very top of the folder list) Click Properties for Outlook Today … Click Permissions tab Click Add Choose the name(s) you wish to access your calendar, and add them to the list Click OK Check the boxes for the exact same permissions at this level that you granted at the Calendar folder level Click OK | |
