MAKING TECHNOLOGY WORK FOR YOU

Give Someone Permission to
Access Your Calendar or Mailbox

Two Steps:

            • Give permission for your Calendar

            • Give permission for your Mailbox

Give Permission for your Calendar:

Right-click the Calendar folder in the folder list

Click Properties

Click Permissions tab

Click Add

Choose the name(s) you wish to access your calendar, and add them to the list

Click OK

Check the appropriate boxes for the permission you want each name to have

Example: You want your Assistant to be able to add items to your calendar and change those items, but not be able to delete or change any items you have created. You would configure the following:

                        Create Items  Folder owner

                        Read items  Folder contact

                        Create subfolders  Folder visible

                        Edit Items  Delete Items

                        None  None

                        Own Own

                        All  All

Click OK

Do not select the Default account! If you grant access to the Default account, you grant access to every single person on the e-mail system.
